Sawyer Goes to the Park and Has More Visitors

Sawyer and I met Denise and Sophia for an afternoon at the park on March 31. We didn't spend too long but it was still fun to get out of the house for a little while. We drove the strollers over to a park that is close to Denise and Sophia's neighborhood. It didn't appear that Sophia was having as much fun as Sawyer but we gathered that was because she had already been to the park once before so it was old news to her. Plus Sawyer just seems to have a blast no matter what he's doing.

"Can you believe the crazy things our moms make us do?"

"We'd rather be napping!"

Sawyer had lots of smile to share while at the park.

We went back to the park the next day and brought the daddies along. We had dinner with Jeremy and Denise afterwards. It was so nice to get together with them again. The four of us spent so much time together before the kids came along.

The proud Daddies.

Swinging is so much fun, especially when Mommy pushes me!

We have such a happy baby!

"Now what are they making us do?"

Rick and Priscilla came over Sunday April 2. Priscilla hung out with Sawyer and I while Lorne and Rick went to a Mavericks game. Lorne got free tickets for the box that his company owns. Rick and Priscilla stayed for dinner once Rick and Lorne got home from the game.

Sawyer took advantage of a few minutes before bathtime to show Rick how to work his new walker.

We had a really fun weekend. We had no way of knowing that the next weekend was going to be much more than what we'd bargained for.

Sawyer's First Table Food

Sawyer had his first table food back on March 30. I had cooked a Baked Penne dish with noodles, beef, and tomatoes. I gave him the pasta and the beef and he inhaled it! He was shoving it in as quickly as he could! It was too cute!

Sawyer was happy to be eating something that didn't come from a jar.

He couldn't get enough of this dish. Lorne and I really like it too!

The Call Finally Came

Mom called Tuesday morning and I knew it was about Aunt Tisha as soon as I saw Van Vleck ISD on the Caller ID. For those who haven't yet heard, Aunt Tisha passed away Friday after a three-year battle with cancer. I'm not ready to write about it just yet. We've been in Sugar Land from Wednesday until last night. Please be patient with me and I promise to post again soon.
