Prayers for Chloe

Chloe had an ENT appointment due to recurring ear infections. She has had five in the past twelve months. We met with Dr. Gottlieb and he recommended an adenoidectomy and tubes in both ears. She has so much fluid in her right ear that she didn't respond to any stimuli during the hearing test. That was very disconserting, but the audiologist assured me that we should have a different result three weeks after surgery when they perform another hearing test.

We had a feeling that we would be traveling this road with at least one if not both of our kids since I had the same procedure when I was younger and Lorne had tubes twice. It's just that she's so young, and she's my baby! I've been doing lots of praying!

Her surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. We have a pre-op appointment on Monday morning. They will inform us as to when to arrive Tuesday morning. Dr. Gottlieb said that they would give her something to make her feel drunk so that they could take her away from me without a fight. I immediately asked what he could give me. His response was that rum works well. It sounds like he has a sense of humor!

He was referred to us by Dr. Darrow. I actually took Chloe to see her because she has had a few random red bumps on her legs since last Saturday. I wanted her to lay her eyes on Chloe and assure me that she would be okay for surgery. I think that I was secretly hoping she'd say that we have to wait. I just keep telling myself that Chloe is in pain so we need to have the surgery performed.

It made me feel better knowing that Dr. Darrow's nurse Karen is actually a patient of Dr. Gottlieb and he actually performed the same procedure on her grandson. Dr. Gottlieb said that they do this surgery on children as young as three months, but he's never done anything to my kids, so that's the difference!

I will keep everyone posted as to the time of the surgery when we find out Monday. I will also try to post Tuesday to report how we're doing.

Spooky Symphony

The kids enjoying the percussion display before the show. This is a great shot of Chloe's wings.

We were in the third row for the show. Chloe was in a complete trance for the first two songs. It was awesome!

Can you tell that I asked Sawyer to help me get Chloe to look?

We could only get Chloe to pose afterward, but what a cute shot we got.

Day Out With Thomas

We got Sawyer a souvenir T-shirt with this logo.

Sawyer is holding a map which he had stamped as we went to each "station." The kids each got a magnet frame as a prize. It had to be redeemed in the gift shop...shocking!

It's almost our turn!

Boarding the train.

Sawyer's tattoo lasted until Tuesday morning.

Chloe's was smudged by Sunday morning.

Would you believe this picture was taken by another Aggie couple with two kids seated across the aisle from us? File that under crazy!

This is the professional picture that was taken as we exited the train.

This may be one of my favorite pictures of the kids. I wish they were in their Sunday Best; I'd use it as our Christmas card.

Trask enhanced this picture for me. I LOVE the personalization. Thanks so much, Trask!

Sir Topham Hatt was only out for thirty minutes at a time so his line was pretty long. I'm thinking it would be easier to get a picture with the President!

Chloe is Nineteen Months Old!

The month of October has been such a blur, but one thing is for sure. Chloe is growing like a weed! I'm curious how much taller she's gotten just in the last month since her well-check. I guess that I could always measure her myself, but I just haven't taken the time.

She continues to watch her brother like a hawk. I am always amazed at how much she does at such a young age! I just love her so much!

Sawyer loves to play peek-a-boo with Chloe to make her smile.

I love how she always crinkles her toes.

I have never been able to get Chloe Bug to wear socks.

I was so excited to get them to sit still for two pictures.

OK, Let's Try This...

I've uploaded lots of pictures tonight, but I didn't write as much as I would have liked. I figured that at least everyone (my two readers!) could see the pictures. I will try to go back and type in more information later, but I'm not promising anything. This month has been absolutely crazy!!!

I joined MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and went from attending three meetings to being a member of the Steering Team as the Publicity Team Leader. I'm also doing a Women of Grace (boy do I ever need that!) book study on Tuesday nights at St. Anthony's. Sawyer's taking two classes at Oak Point this month. I'm still doing Weight Watchers meetings and attending at least three 5:30 AM classes at the gym each week. Oh, and we've been out of town two weekends in a row!

We're taking Sawyer to ride Thomas the Tank Engine at the Texas State Railroad in Rusk on Saturday. Sunday we're attending the Plano Symphony Orchestra's Spooky Symphony. Can anyone say, "Too many irons in the fire?" It really has been lots of fun to be so busy, but something's gotta give, as they say, and that, unfortunately, has been Aggiefamily.net!

Be sure to scroll down to September 19th and 20th. I also added some pics from those dates!

Until next time (month), lol

Happy Birthday Logan and Luke!

Luke took some time to have some lunch before his cupcake.

Logan waited patiently to blow out his candle.

Sawyer really enjoyed his cupcake!

Chloe and Luke.

Little Rock Zoo

We had fun visiting the Little Rock Zoo. We got in free with our Dallas Zoo membership.

These cute plastic pumpkins were displayed throughout the zoo.

I love this sweet little picture of Chloe helping her daddy pull the wagon. Yes, that is our wagon which we brought all the way from Wylie!

The elephants are always a big hit with the kids.

Our poor children have to go to the zoo to pet a goat!

What a crew!

The carousel was kind of scary because it undulated and there weren't any seat belts.

Chloe is Eighteen Months Old!

Mr. Aggie Bear came along with us to the Arboretum so Mommy could kill two birds with one stone.

I couldn't get them to look at me to save my life. It was crazy busy in the pumpkin patch!

I wish that I could remember what was cracking them up during this picture.

This has to be the coolest face painting ever!

I love you, Chloe Bug!

She wants to do everything just like brother.

MOPS Convention

I joined a great organization called MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) this fall. I promise to write more about it as soon as I can!

I had so much fun hanging out with Lorie at the MOPS convention!

Our Little David Beckham

Sawyer is taking a four-week soccer class through the Plano Parks and Recreation this month. I thought we'd take it slowly and do a few classes instead of a full-blown season since he's only three. It's probably a good thing since he starts wiping his brow about twenty minutes into the forty-five minute class. He comes to the sidelines saying, "Whew, I'm tired!" It's hysterical! I think that his favorite parts of class are the trips to the water fountain.

My favorite Sawyer comment after the first class was to tell me, "Mommy, those other kids were fighting and we're a team!" I guess that even if he's not too into the physical part at least he is learning about teamwork...too cute!

One of the few times Sawyer actually stood still.

Sawyer already had a maroon soccer ball, but he requested "one with black and white spots like a zebra" for this class.

Running the cones (sorry it's so dark).

Chloe just wanted the camera for the entire class.

Cheesing it up for the camera in his "running shoes."
