Getting ready

I'm not sure that I will know when this so-called "nesting" will start right before I deliver because I already feel like I am doing that. I think that we have bought everything nonperishable that we can possibly stock up on before the baby gets here. Maybe I will have this overwhelming desire to cook and clean as part of my nesting because I definitely don't feel that right now. I think that the last time I cooked dinner was LAST Wednesday. That is horrible considering that last year at this time I was doing my counseling internship all day, class at night, and I still managed to cook dinner about five nights a week. It's both of our faults, though, because most nights Lorne says "Let's just have cereal." Who can say no to that? Definitely not me!

Lorne and I went to Kohl's, Target, Sam's, and Babies 'R Us last night. He is a trooper I'll give him that. Three hours of shopping and not one complaint. How did I get so lucky? I can't believe that one little baby needs so many things. The good news is that I feel that I can finally say that we have everything that we "need" for the baby. I have some other things on my wishlist, but I can wait to buy those things. I may never buy them and that's okay too.

I had lunch with my friend Jen today. Yes, I also ate lunch out yesterday but who's counting? I'm trying to leave the house as much as possible before the baby boy gets here because I keep thinking that I won't want to leave for a while after he is born. We had a good time and I was happy to get to see her again.
