Our LAST weekend
We had a pretty fun weekend I think. We kept saying that this was our last weekend before we become parents. Jeremy and Denise took us out to On The Border Friday for Lorne's birthday. Then we went to Krispy Kreme's because it was National Doughnut Day (betcha didn't know that) and we wanted a free doughnut. Our next stop was the snow cone stand. I've been on a coconut kick. They have a picnic table so we sat outside and enjoyed our frozen treats. I told them that if sugar could be used as an induction method I would have been set! Laura says some of her friends swear by the Dan-Dan Noodles at P.F. Chang's because they're so spicy. I may have to give them a try! :)
Denise is going to be induced the week of the 20th if she hasn't gone into labor, so our babies will be around ten days apart which is going to be so neat. We'll be able to have lots of Mom's Day Outs!
Lorne and I went to a noon showing of Star Wars on Saturday. I brought a pillow with me so I was nice and comfortable during the whole movie. I only nodded off a couple of times so that was a record for me. I actually fell asleep when we went to see Episode I. I think that was because it was a midnight showing. I don't think I've ever stayed awake through a whole Episode when we try and watch them at home either. I know some of you reading will see this as a crime, but I just can't help it! I liked the movie, but the overall theme was pretty dark and foreboding which seemed to be quite a change from the others.
I finished my cross-stitch so we took it to Michael's to be framed. The first quote she gave us was $250 and then they were having a "sale" so it went down to $170. Why did I have to get my mom's expensive taste? It really is annoying! :) She ended up deducting the price of one of the two mats so I think the final cost was $140. Maybe I should open a framing shop in my hotel that I'm building in Wylie. :) It will be ready on the 19th so I can't wait to pick it up. I told the lady who waited on us that she was only one of four people who know our son's name. (Lorne told some drunk guy at Billy Bob's when we went to see Jason Boland.) I told her that she could make a lot of money if our friends and family knew that she knew. I told her to be strong and not let the cat out of the bag. She just laughed.
We went to Carrabba's for a late lunch or early dinner I'm not sure which. I love their Linguine Pescatore. It has a spicy red sauce with shrimp, mussels, and clams, but I just get the shrimp and penne pasta instead of linguine. I had to get my shrimp fix for the week. I also wanted to eat there because I don't eat a lot of Italian food on Weight Watchers. It's not because I can't, it's just so many points. It wouldn't be so bad if I wouldn't eat the bread, but what's Italian food without bread? I remember in Paris and Rome they would give us a bread basket, but it wasn't endless. There would be four or five pieces, and once that was gone that was it. Not so in the good old U S of A.
Today has been pretty quiet. I went to church this morning. We watched NASCAR this afternoon. Lorne's out mowing the yard. Just your normal boring Sunday but I love it and I've loved them all. Next weekend will mark the beginning of our new life, the time when two become three. I can't wait!!
I'll close with some updated pictures of the preggo. Hope everyone is well. Britt, it was great to hear from you! I look forward to seeing you, Tyler, and Jordan really soon!

I had Lorne take a picture of my huge belly since I had dressed up for church this morning.

One more shot of my expanding waistline.

Mr. Literal had to take another picture of "my belly."

Apparently you wrote this after our telephone conversation last evening. I agree with Lorne. If you will notice you are standing differently than when the last "preggo" pictures were taken. (Feet are not together.) The old bones are moving apart. YEAH!!! We will have the little man where we can share him soon.
I also agree with your mom. There is no doubt that you and Lorne will be great parents. You both are so good with children. You both have gentle, caring spirits. And yes, all women love to share their horror stories about pregnancies. Why, I don't know. We should keep those stories to ourselves unless we are sharing with those that have already had all their children.
And as I have said before, enjoy this time. It is such a miracle from God. Isn't He awesome? I know that because of Eve we have to do this, but I still think that is a beautiful experience and I am thankful that I was able to be a part of the miracle process two times. I am still praying for peace for you, Kelly. You just keep asking Jesus for peace with all of this. He will provide that and the wisdom you need to raise this little man. You and Lorne just have to remember that you are a team with this as you have been in all else that you have done so far.
Love you and will see you Thursday if not before.
