It's (Going to Be) A Girl!

Matthew and Jackie called yesterday and gave me the good news that they're having a girl!! I am sooo excited for them! They have already registered at Babies 'R Us and they have a crib and are working on the nursery. I can't wait to hold their little one! Jackie is due between June 15-22 so their baby and Sawyer will be almost exactly one year apart. I can't believe that one of my little brothers is going to be a daddy! Matthew and Jackie are going to be the best parents! They have so much love for their nieces, nephew, and friends' kids that I know that their own child will be enveloped in love and affection. I can't believe how many exclamation points are in this paragraph! :)

Sawyer and I went to Wal-Mart this morning and he rode in the front of the shopping cart for the first time. I think that he was amazed at his new vantage point. He was too funny! I've been stalling on taking him out since he's been out of his ultra-convenient infant carseat, but I thought today would be a good time. We were out for Weight Watchers anyway and I knew that the grocery store would be pretty empty and I was right. I didn't want there to be a lot of witnesses if he had a meltdown and I wanted to go when I only needed to pick up a few items. He did wonderfully and now I'm feeling more confident so it all worked out.


Velma made the cover for the shopping cart. They wanted $40 for one at Babies 'R Us. She did such a great job. It makes it extra special since she made it and now we can minimize the germs while we shop.


This is why we needed the cover! Up and down the aisles we went while he tried to chew away.

Sawyer was getting ready for bed last night so I wanted to take a picture of him. I mostly thought I'd take one so that I can blackmail him when he's a teenager. :) Plus I wanted everyone to see how much he has grown. Warning; he's showing a lot of skin! :)


He's going to kill me over this picture in a few years I'll bet!
