Where is Sawyer's Belly Button?

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted! Alas, I was still in my twenties the last time that I posted to Blogger.com. I guess being in my thirties hasn't been too bad, but I do miss the twenties already!

We had a very productive weekend around here. Lorne did all of the work and I supervised, but things were accomplished all the same. We got a storage unit and cleared out the guest bedroom since it is becoming the baby girl's room. The storage space is coming in very handy since we're adding another member to the family. We also chose a crib set which is appropriately titled Ruffles (pictured below), so now we can decide how we're going to decorate her little corner of the world. I have been so pleased with how Sawyer's room turned out and I hope that we can do the same for the little girl. We went and got a toddler bed and softer mattress for Sawyer on Saturday. We're going to begin the transition by changing out his crib mattress to the softer one and putting the toddler bed in his room next to his crib so that he can check it out. Lorne will have to do some babyproofing in Sawyer's room before we can set him free in his own bed though.

Based on what is shown here I'm wanting the dust ruffle, bumper pad, lamp, mobile, and valance. We haven't decided if we're doing the border and/or wall hangings yet.

We went to my friend Laura's son Logan's first birthday party on Saturday. It was fun. I was so bummed because I forgot my camera and someone had already gotten him the present that I got him. Laura assured me that she didn't mind doing the exchange for another toy. Sawyer was into everything. He loved the birthday cake. He even went up to another mom and made the more sign to her while she was eating her cake since we had run out. I guess he wasn't quite ready to stop!

Here are some pictures from before bathtime the other night. Sawyer discovers his belly button and it is hilarious! It's funny because that thing has been there for the past seventeen months, but for some reason it captivated him this particular night.

He just has his finger stuck in his belly button in this shot.

He's really getting up close and personal in this one.

This one is my favorite because he's squeezing his belly.

Closing with a close-up.

Looks like a Smith house to me. Football on the tv in the last picture. Groovy!
