Sawyer's YouTube Debut
We went to Lorne's company's "Holiday Event" on Friday. Lorne was such a trooper to go. He was in California on Wednesday and Thursday and worked until almost midnight on Monday and Tuesday. It looks like he still has some work to do on the project, but we're hoping that the late nights are over for a while.
It is a HUGE understatement to say that Sawyer had a blast! The party really was a two-year-olds' heaven. We took a family picture which he really didn't care too much about, but the rest of the time was just for him. He had a snowman painted on his face and was so proud. He got a dog from the balloon artist. I still remember the party last year when he said balloon for the first time. What a difference a year makes! We can't get him to stop talking! Santa was also there, but he wasn't too interested and I think it's because Santa was at the mall a few weeks ago.
There were also cartoon characters who seemed to have one hour shifts. First there was Mickey Mouse, then Winnie the Pooh, and finally Elmo. Pooh and Elmo each went out on the dance floor and boy was that a hoot! It's a good thing Sawyer wears diapers because I would bet money that he needed them when he laid eyes on Elmo. I will never forget his reaction to seeing that huge ball of red fur. He kept putting his little hands on his mouth and shouting, "Elmo, Mommy, Elmo, Mommy!" It was priceless!
Each child was also sent home with a gift. Sawyer got some stacking blocks similar to some that he already has. Chloe received some really neat blocks. That's just what we needed around here was more blocks, but oh well. They seemed to enjoy them and I guess that the company didn't have to get them anything.
Click here and here for the YouTube videos. He does the same little dance no matter the song, and it is just too precious! Be sure to turn on your sound. They're a little dark, but I think it's because I just shot them with the digital camera so I couldn't really adjust for the dimmed room or anything. Thanks to Lorne for uploading them for me!
