Sawyer Comes First

Hey everyone. I'm sorry that I haven't written in a couple of days. We had a pediatrician appointment and I just knew that the little man would be back at his birth weight as he should be, but he actually lost MORE weight and now weighs 6 lbs! We're going back to the doctor Thursday, but until then I'm to feed every 2 1/2 hours and pump four times a day. I'm already worn out just thinking about it. I feel like I had just gotten to a point where I could enjoy breastfeeding and now it's back to being like a chore. We're also to replace one of my feedings with a breastmilk bottle which I was so adamant about before. Now all I care about is Sawyer gaining some weight. I'm feeling really inadequate as a mom right now. I'm not looking for compliments, I'm just wishing that things would be better. She mentioned something about a protein deficiency, but that should have shown up in his newborn screen at birth and I don't think that it did. We're headed to Presbyterian tomorrow morning to have his two week screen done. Hopefully that won't show any kind of deficiency. Until then my world will revolve around Sawyer gaining some weight and being as healthy as he can possibly be. I'll write when I can!
