Sawyer is Fourteen Months Old!

I know that it has taken me a while to post Sawyer's fourteen-month pictures, but I have a good excuse...I'M PREGNANT! We went to the doctor Monday and saw the heartbeat. I am due on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day. It is a very exciting time for us. Sawyer will be twenty-one months old when the baby is born. We think that it will be good to have our kids that close in age. I can't say that I'm looking forward to no longer sleeping eight hours each night, but this time I know that the lack of sleep is only temporary. I will know this time around that things will get better.

I took a home test on July 17th so we kept it to ourselves for three weeks. The worst part was in that three weeks I had breakfast with Laura and Andrew, lunch with Kristy, dinner with Courtney, Laura, and Logan, saw Denise practically every day with swim lessons, had she and Jeremy and Sophia over for dinner, and Larry and Velma came to visit. I just knew that one of us would slip but it never happened. It was hard for me to suffer in silence since the nausea is pretty bad this time but I managed okay.

I haven't blogged in forever because I am so tired. I have been taking two naps a day right along with Sawyer. I usually feel better when I've gotten lots of sleep. I turn off all of the ringers on the phones and get some rest. The bad thing is that I think Sawyer will be dropping his morning nap soon, but I should be feeling better by then so I think that it will be okay.

I'm posting lots of pictures of him since it has been so long:

I wish that I'd found an "I'm About to Be the Big Brother" T-shirt.

He seems to take better pictures when I ditch the bear.

He was too intrigued with sitting in the recliner to think about the bear I think.

Sawyer is doing so many neat things these days. He can point to his nose when we ask him. He also can bring me the cow from his farm set when I ask him. His signing is improving too. He knows the sign for eat, milk, light, more, Rosie, water (he's still slapping himself on the side of the head for that one), cheese, and car. There are other signs that we do that I can tell that he recognizes, but those are the ones he is doing.

He's doing the sign for eat.

The sign for Rosie, or dog, is to pant, but he does Lamaze-type breathing instead. It is the cutest thing ever!
