Happy New Year!

Jeremy, Denise, and Sophia joined us on New Year's Day for our traditional meal. I prepared ham, black-eyed peas, cornbread, and turnip greens. They brought a cheese tray, sausage, and crackers, and a chocolate cloud cake for dessert. We exchanged gifts and had a fun evening.

We got Sophia the V-Tech Alphabet Train Station, Denise a Columbia jacket, and Jeremy a video game and some accessories for mixing drinks. They got Sawyer the Elmo Tool Bench, Lorne a gadget for networking his printers, and a ceramic Christmas tree for me. I was so excited as I opened my package. I have always wanted one like the one our Nana put out each year. It got lost or thrown away or something when she moved from her house to the nursing home. I can't wait for next Christmas so that I can have it on display.
