Maxim Holiday Party 2008

We attended the Maxim Holiday Party this evening. I think that the kids had a great time! We've learned from previous years and got there as soon as the party began at 4:00. We were at Lorne's office at 3:30 and all rode over to the hotel in the Tahoe. We didn't stay as long, probably because we were at the front of every line. I think Sawyer was disappointed because Elmo didn't dance as long as he did last year. Elmo, Mickey, and Santa were there, but either Pooh had another commitment or we didn't stay late enough.

I thought that our family photo turned out really well this year. We were the first in the line which was awesome!

Sawyer had his cheesiest grin for the camera. He told Santa that he wanted a $180 ride-on bulldozer that he saw in a Sam's catalog. They put the Santa pictures on a button and this was an extra copy.

I was really surprised that Chloe wasn't scared of Mickey since she wouldn't have anything to do with Santa. I couldn't even get her to let go of me and stand on the stage.

This picture is so great because Chloe spotted Mickey again.

Sawyer and Chloe fought over the penguin for the rest of the night because it was way cooler than the green and white candy cane that was made for Chloe.

Sawyer was very excited about his reindeer.

The artist suggested holly for Chloe because she wouldn't have to sit still for too long. I think she would have done fine she this was her third face painting in her short twenty month lifetime.

Sawyer and Chloe followed poor Elmo all over the ballroom. Chloe actually had a fit once because he started hugging other kids and taking pictures with them.

The longest line was for the caricature artist, but I think that it was worth it. We chose a horse for Chloe since she loves their Radio Flyer "hee haw," and of course the bulldozer was a no-brainer for Sawyer.
