Lazy Kelly

Okay, so maybe lazy isn't the correct word. I should say that I am Distracted from Blogging Kelly. We have been so busy around here that I have put blogging on the back burner. Trust me, I am back and promise for at least one post a week from here on out. There are three other new posts under this one with lots of pictures.

We spent nine great days in Van Vleck over Christmas. We had such a good time and got to see so much family while we were there. I was so glad that I got to be there for Strudel Day with Nanny. That has become one of my favorite Christmas traditions. It's great that we were able to have a long visit since our next trip there will more than likely be the summer at the earliest.

We rented a U-Haul trailer to get all of our goodies back to Wylie. Our families were more than generous to us this year. We also had some baby gear that I got from Jackie, our luggage, and Rosie, so we were pretty loaded down. We got home on a Thursday and I think it was Sunday night before I could see the pool table or dining room table again.

We have been busy buying paints, trim, and fabric for the nursery. This past weekend we cleaned out three closets, Lorne cleaned out the attic, and I mostly entertained Sawyer. We would probably only need one weekend to get organized around here if Sawyer wasn't around, but I'll take the little guy getting into everything over efficiency any day.

I had a pre-natal appointment on Thursday of last week. Everything is going just perfectly and I couldn't be more pleased with this pregnancy so far. I am thirty weeks along and have gained eighteen pounds. I continue to be proud of myself. I only gained one pound since my previous appointment which was two weeks prior. I'm still not quite sure how that happened, but who am I to question? I am feeling her kick more and more now. I think that is definitely the best part of being pregnant. Maybe not when she's kicking in the middle of the night, but a great part nonetheless.

I started my cross-stitch last week so we all know what that means...we have a name! Before anyone asks (I'm talking to you, Mom!), we're not telling how many letters, what letter it begins with, or any such nonsense so don't even try! I only have a little more than nine weeks to stay mum so let's see if I can. We had Sawyer named six months before he was born and kept it a secret, but I was much less scatterbrained at that time in my life I think. If I slip I slip, but my goal is to keep it a secret until the big day.
