Long Time, No Type
I finally sit down to catch up on my blog and now the program that I use to upload pictures is down....grrrr! I guess that I will add some pictures once it starts working again.
This week has really flown by it seems like. It has been kind of crazy around here because Rosie has been sick. She has pancreatitis and gastroenteritis. I have no idea if I spelled those correctly! :) She is doing much better today though. She's keeping food and drink down so that's a good sign. The vet thinks that it probably started from her eating brisket from this weekend. She said that some dogs just can't handle the greasiness of brisket. I know that Rosie has had brisket in the past, but I guess this was just greasier than normal. I went ahead and had them do her yearly X-rays. They showed that the hip dysplasia and arthritis haven't gotten better, but they haven't gotten worse either. We're going to continue her on the special food and the chewable tablets daily. We'll also continue with the Adequan injections as needed.
Larry and Velma came to see us this last weekend. They were such a great help with the nursery. Lorne and Larry put up the wainscot, chair rail, and crown molding. Velma made the curtains. I don't have pictures yet because Lorne still has to do a final coat of paint and this week has been crazy, as I've already mentioned. He and Larry had quite a time since the weather wasn't cooperating. They had to cut all the wood and do all of the painting in the room since it was so rainy and cold. Of course it cleared up on Sunday and hasn't rained since. Doesn't that always seem to be the case?
I know that Sawyer is glad that the weather has improved. He and I were stuck inside for five days last week and it was pretty rough. I was running out of things to do with him I felt like. Luckily I'd stashed away a few of his Christmas presents, so I opened them throughout the week. He just kept saying go, bye-bye, and car. I felt bad for him because I couldn't explain why we were stuck inside for so long. I stayed inside even when the weather started to improve because I just didn't want to risk being out and having an accident.
I'll post some pictures just as soon as I can!
